House Barrique

House Barrique: a Mont Blanc-loving sommelier's tailor-made flat in Pré Saint Didier

wood cladding

The scent of wood, the forest in one room, the table with corks, this flat in Pré Saint Didier, in the hamlet of Verrand, has the charm of Alpine style and all the comfort of a modern home, designed with functionality in mind.

wood cladding

The wood materials selected are thermo larch, treated with different firings, and a rustic, flush-sawn and varnished oak, with a raw effect, to leave the floor neutral and bright.

.

The furniture, as well as the doors and woodwork, were created in continuous veins and widths to give lightness and continuity to the house.

For the walls of the bathroom, there is a exchange between larch wood and Microtopping, a mixture of polymers and microcements with a modern and minimal impact, which covers areas subject to humidity. All the furnishings are handcrafted and made to measure, such as the dining area table in wood and glass, decorated with corks as a reminder of the owner’s passion for the world of wine.
